Back in NYC

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I’m back in NYC now. My car was towed again. It really is time to sell it, especially now that I will be spending a lot more time in Japan over the next few months on a project I will announce soon.

Thanks to everyone who showed up at the dinner! It was amazing! I expected ten people, made a reservation for twelve but I think we ended up with nineteen. All really cool people. I’m considering whether or not the next gathering should be a dinner or a social gathering at a bar. I much prefer the dinners because people are encouraged to interact more and the quality of discussions are higher. Lets see what happens.

Dinner Wednesday in Tokyo

I’m organizing a dinner this Wednesday (tonight) in Tokyo. If you would like to attend please give me a call at 080-3479-2261 (I left my normal cell phone in NYC), space is limited so please notify me quickly! You can also try contacting me via the contact form. I will update this post later with the location and time.

UPDATE: Dinner at Gonpachi Shibuya at 8PM. The reservation is under my name. Please let me know if you can join.

In Tokyo 03-20 to 03-22

Last minute trip to Tokyo. I’m going to be there Tuesday - Thursday. Considering setting up a group dinner Tuesday night. Anyone have suggestions on a location?

[video] Part three and Part four Me interviewed by Bobby Austin

I’m in Portugal now and I’m upset that I had to pay 20 Euros to use WiFi in the conference center. Not only that, but its extremely slow WiFi! Anyway, I managed to upload the final two parts of my interview. If you haven’t seen them already, you should view Part 1 and Part 2 first.

Part four:

In Portugal now

First impressions of Portugal? I’m just paid 15.00 euros in my hotel to use the slowest internet access ever! I’m pretty pissed. I might be able to upload the two other parts of my interview, but it will take all night.

The people here are extremely friendly with a great command of English. Which makes it helpful for those of us who don’t speak Portugese. I might even say they are more friendly than the Spanish but that could be in part because I couldn’t speak Spanish and Spanairds had little interest in helping people who didn’t speak the language.

I’m here with my brother and its his first time leaving the country. I’ll be giving a speech on VoIP Security here this week.
