At PDF Forum / Need for Minority blogger con
I’m at the Personal Democracy Forum which has a great line-up of “A-List” bloggers. Needless to say minorities are under represented at the conference in both attendence and panel participants. I did find out about Afro-Netizen run by Chris Rabb. I’m listening to Chris speak now on a panel titled “Using the Net to Move Your Issues.” “How can you have a DNC blogger list without any black bloggers?” It doesn’t appear as though the other members of the panel are comfortable with what he has to say, but he is right on point. Disappointingly Markos Moulitsas of DailyKos is saying that minority bloggers are well represented in the blogosphere!! Sure Markos is latin american and a “A-list” blogger, but how many “A-list” bloggers are hispanic or black?
If the minorities were well represented in the blogosphere then atleast 50% of the DNC bloggers would have been black. But how many were black? Sure as hell wasn’t 50%. Markos, are we looking at the same internet? I’m adding Chris Rabb to American Voices.
