I grab my newspaper and laptop in the middle of the afternoon once and awhile and head down to the local Starbucks. Lately I’ve have noticed a disturbing trend. Parents actually bring their children to Starbucks and buy the kids coffee! It is the most amazing thing. And even the parents who don’t purchase coffee still come with their children. The children are being raised on Starbucks like I was raised on the idea that McDonalds was perfectly fine for lunch and the local Chinese restaurant is fine for dinner. Kids ten years from now will think $3.00 for a coffee is perfectly normal. Hell if the price goes up to $4.00 they will say “I remember when I was a kid and you could get a cup of coffee for $3.00″

So, this is why I’m buying Starbucks for my retirement account.
