Social Security
I won’t be voting for Bush, but if I had it would have been because of his stance on Social Security privatization. I recently received a letter from the Social Security Administration telling me how much of my money they had waiting for me, and it was a lot. However it is unlikely I will ever see it. Social Security works as along as their are more people paying into the system then people taking out of it, and in the next twenty-five years that won’t be the case.
Bush doesn’t even have a real plan yet for how he would privatize Social Security without giving his cronies on Wall Street a trillion dollar slush fund, but if I can have control over my “retirement” fund, I would sure as hell prefer that then leaving it to the questionable state it is currently in.

I agree with you but Kerry wouldn’t make a difference. Under both Democratic & Republican administrations the Social Security trust fund has been plundered. The spend that Social security surplus and then place “bogus” treasury
bonds as the IOUs. Who will pay for those bonds. American taxpayers. Its like double taxation.
You are taxed when you get paid (FICA). Then when those bogus bonds have to be redeemed you are taxed again. A good website is http://www.uncle-scam.com/. Ed Henry knows alot about the shenanaigans of federal gov’t.
