People have asked me recently if I have any plans for running for office in the future. This is mainly because I’ve been talking about politics so much, what can I say? It’s an election year.
However the more I learn about politics and the more time I spend around politicians the less I want to become one. I have no interest in becoming a politician, now or in the future. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve met great people in the political arena like John Edwards, a leading potential for Vice President, pictured above, and Joe Trippi the former campaign manager for Presidential candidate Howard Dean, pictured below. The best way to change America is to work outside of the “system”. This is what Andrew Rasiej is doing with his Draft Bruce project. Hopefully some day I will be in a position to influence politicians too. Right now I am a few millions dollars short of where I need to be.

We now have a chance to send a message to all of America, and I need your help to take advantage of it. On September 1, the Republicans will hold their convention in New York City and will nominate George Bush for President. A friend of mine, Andrew Rasiej has put Giants Stadium on hold on the very same day of the convention. The goal is simple, to sell out Giants Stadium and attract enough coverage to overshadow the Republican Convention on the very same day.
The stadium is reserved, and Bruce Springsteen has been contacted. All we need now is momentum, enough people to sign a petition to make it happen. Andrew put it best when he said “Together your collective voices and music will send a clear message to all Americans that our country needs their vote to create change.”
This is the new world of politics, a world I for one am looking forward to where Americans using technology are just as empowered as career politicians. Help us to change America, help us draft Bruce Springsteen.
Go to the website and sign the petition, send this message to all of your friends. Every signature counts. Draft Bruce.
