Newsletter?
I’ve really tried to limit the amount of email I send you guys/gals, but I need your thoughts on an idea I have.
Instead of sending emails weekly or every once and awhile, I am considering creating a free monthly newsletter. The newsletter would basicly give you a brief view of whats happening in the privacy/technology space, with links and urls, much like my blog. In addition it would also have additional thoughts by me and perhaps an essay on the months events.
It would be a mailing list that you could subscribe and unsubscribe to at will. Right now, the blog doesn’t have an unsubscribe “feature” so that would be another benefit, but before I do anything I want to hear what you think?

Sounds fine to me.

If you don’t think it’s too much work to put together a newletter then I say, have at it. However, personally, I like the sporadic emailing and the surprises in terms of articles, links and features. It’s like the lottery; you keep playing because you don’t know when you’re going to win. You feature unique and interesting material and opinions and, to me, irregular mailings are treats; they are more memorable. However, by subscribing to a newletter the end user won’t have to remember to check the site, new users will get to sign up and get a feel for your messages and will pass the info on to others. Increasing circulation would be the plus of starting a newsletter. My opinion. DW

I think the newsletter would be good. I like getting the emails, but with my other work sometimes forget to check the site and would like to keep with articles posted. I say go for it.

I like the idea of the monthly newsletter. I get a lot of emails and sometimes the sparatic but appreciated emails get lost in my everyday crap.
I have two questions though, is the newsletter going to be something that is only emailed or will it be on your site as well and is it going to replace your occasional blog.
