Good Charlotte

I really enjoyed my latest stay in Japan. I always learn something new about myself when I travel, when I feel I need to think and plan things out I try to go somewhere. Its not always as extreme as hitch hiking through the mountains of Japan sometimes its as simple as coffee in Paris. It wasn’t all so surprising that I decided to spend the New Year in Japan. I managed to get a lot of work done and I met a few people who have inspired me moving forward. For the first time I have a new years resolution that I have taken very seriously.

With my New Year’s resolutions and the fact that I’ll be turning 23 this month what I came away Japan with during this trip was a focus on who it is I want to be and how being that person will affect my work going forward. Who I want to be and the work I have done has not always been the same. In fact often times it has been quite an irony.

The promise I have made to myself is:

To work with and help develop products I personally believe in.
To work with companies or help develop products that help improve the security and privacy of individuals.

Funny story, on the flight back to NYC from Tokyo I sat next to this really cool guy named Paul who was the same age as me. Though I would have preferred to sit next to an attractive young lady, I have never been so lucky! Anyway I was just happy to be able to speak English to someone. Once we get to talking much to my surprise Paul is a rock star! Turns out he is the Bass player for a group called Good Charlotte. I met the rest of the band but I have to admit I had no idea who they were, outside of CNN I don’t watch much TV. Today I stayed home and decided to watch some MTV and there they were. The two lead singers (brothers) host a show on MTV. When I met them, they were down to earth and it was cool that we were the same age. I also like their single, so I’m going to go out and buy some CD’s. Hopefully when they have some down time, we will hang out.

I have a bunch of pictures from Japan. This was the first time I was able to put my new Nikon D100 to a real usage test. Not so bad.
